1. Castelli men's Gavia jacket: was $499.99, now $200.00 at Competitive Cyclist
With 60% off retail, this deal takes the versatile Gavia jacket from a wish list item to a must buy it now! A mid-weight shell with Gore-Tex protection, it's designed to fend of the wet and the wild. The long tail adds protection at the rear, while the storm zipper flap does the same at the front. We also like that the Gavia is cut a little roomier than a typical race-fit rain cape, meaning you can layer up if needed, making it work across a wider range of temps.
2. Garmin Enduro: was $799.99, now $479.80 at Amazon
Not quite at its lowest price ever but this is still a significant discount for the rugged and durable Enduro. Like all high-end Garmin watches it's loaded with features to aid training and navigation - and it also boasts an impressive 80-hour battery life. This is a deal you probably want to act on now.
3. Adidas The Velosamba Vegan Cycling Shoes: was $130.00, now from $65.00 at Adidas
These were a most wanted pair of casual cycling kicks for a long time, so now to find them with an over half price saving is a seriously good deal. Specific colors and sizes are likely to move fast, so it makes sense to act when you find the color you like in your size. The insanely low price of $39 is for the white and blue color option in large sizes, but there are solid reductions on all colors, with the blue shoes pictured here now just $65.
4. Tacx Neo 2T smart trainer: was $1,399.99, now $899.99 at Amazon
When we reviewed the Tacx Neo 2T last year we concluded, "This is the most enjoyable trainer to use." We certainly still stand by that, especially as the only major quibble at the time was the price. However with this hefty discount that fades to very little to complain about.
This $500 saving is one of the best prices we've seen, especially given this is Tacx's range-topping smart trainer, which makes the 36% discount all the more compelling.
5. Specialized Torch 3.0 men's road shoes: were $230, now $115.00 at Jenson USA
You can actually get the Torch 3.0 from Specialized for cent less, but currently there better size availability at Jenson across the three colors. It's a great shoes, with two Boa dials to help with fit and foot security alongside a breathable upper and a stiff carbon sole. Now with 50% off retail.
6. Hammerhead Karoo 2 GPS computer: was $399.00, now $299.00 at Hammerhead
For Christmas, Hammerhead has knocked 100 bucks of its heralded head unit. You can read our review of the Karoo 2 for more detail, but safe to say we loved the high-res screen and the breadth of features.
7. Garmin Epix 2: was $799.99, now $522.90 at Amazon
The Epix stands out with its tougher and more rugged case combined with all the TOPO maps, health tracking and Garmin Pay features of all Garmin's top smartwatches.
8. Specialized Propero III helmet: was $130, now $64.99. at Specialized
I'm a big fan of the Propero lid - it's got a nice profile and plenty of vents and feels a little like a premium S-Works product but without the price tag - which is even lower here. Offered in three colors including white and black. Classic.
9. Shimano XC502 limited Edition shoes: were $175, now $105 at Competitive Cyclist
Designed for XC mountain biking, the XC502 low profile upper and aggressive sole also make it well-suited for gravel racing and riding. Limited Moss Green colorway only adds to the shoe's appeal - and here in a good range of sizes with 40% off retail.

The performance versus price ratio is particularly good with this model. Currently with 36% off retail.
Garmin Vivoactive 4S: was $329.99, now $179.99 at Amazon
I think this is the best GPS crossover watch for anyone wanting a more subtle ride/gym fitness tracker. Garmin Edge 1030 Plus: now $599.99, now $339.28 at Amazon
We really rated the Garmin Edge 1030 when we reviewed it, finding it's features and functions very user friendly. It's one of the largest Garmin bike computers, but this does make maps and other data metrics, such as power, easy to read. It gains all of Garmin's nifty virtual coaching features, and is more off road friendly thanks to a specific mode setting. This discount is a fair one, but be aware that the brand has also just bought out it's latest flagship model the Garmin Edge 1040. This means the 1030 is no longer the range topper, so discounted units are more likely in a few shops, so check the quick links above before you buy.
Garmin Edge 830: was $399.99, now $279.99 at Amazon
This is the previous iteration of the enduringly popular Edge 800 series, with the touchscreen being the standout feature next to the more affordable Edge 530. Our testers were impressed, rating it 4.5 stars. Another recent price drop means it's now 30% off retail.

Beats Studio Buds: was $149.95, now $89.95 at Amazon
If bone conduction isn't for you and noise cancelling is a higher priority – I think the Beats' Studio Buds are a great option for hard workouts. Lightweight and unobtrusive, they're super comfortable – and with an IPX4 rating, they're sweat resistant too. They've dropped again in price and now have 40% off.

Tacx Neo 2T smart trainer: was $1,399, now $899.99 at Amazon
When we reviewed the Tacx Neo 2T last year we concluded, "This is the most enjoyable trainer to use." We certainly still stand by that, especially as the only major quibble at the time was the price. However with this hefty discount that fades to very little to complain about.
This $500 saving is one of the best prices we've seen, especially given this is Tacx's range-topping smart trainer, which makes the 36% discount all the more compelling.
Women's Health Men's Health Indoor Cycling Exercise Bike: was $453.00, now $299 at Amazon

Real time analytics which work with a specific MyFitnessCloud app. Currently with 34% off retail.
Elite Direto XR: was $999.99, now $639.00 at Amazon
This smart turbo might lack some of the refined qualities of its more expensive sister trainers but we found it still a great value-for-money package when we reviewed it last year. We found it responsive and it's power readings reliable. Currently with 36% off retail.
Tacx Flux 2 Direct Drive Smart Trainer: was $899.99 now $599.99
There are some obvious compromises to be made in the Tacx Flux 2 compared to the higher spec'ed Neo 2T, but you do get a decent bang for smaller buck, now made even more appealing with this $300 saving. The max power is 2,000W vs 1,500W, the max slope is 16% vs 10% and the accuracy is ±2.5% vs ±3%. This has been on the market a while now, so while the 33% saving at REI may be ending on September 30, Garmin also currently have the same offer with no specific time limits, although no guarantee how long it will last.
Wahoo Kickr Snap trainer: was $350, now $299.99 at REI

Connects to your devices through wireless ANT+ and Bluetooth Smart. With this deal you can get training for well under 200 bucks.
Sunny Health & Fitness indoor exercise bike: was $299.99, now $197.08 at Amazon
It's a basic option, but at this price it's a great way to keep you moving through the dark winter months when outdoors doesn't have the same appeal. It's all mechanical so no extra draw on electrics, but you might want to jump on a virtual spin class for motivation.

Castelli Sorpasso RoS Limited Edition Bib Tight: was $209.99, now $146.99 at Backcountry
We haven't reviewed the men's version of these tights, but we have tested the women's – so we can comment on the performance of the fabrics if not this exact cut and fit. They were toasty warm, and as hinted at by the RoS moniker, they really do perform come rain or shine – they are waterproof enough to fend off a shower but still breathable enough for hard efforts in the dry. There is currently availability in all sizes – but only in blue. Another price drop has them with 30% off - and currently available in the full size range.

We really liked the Le Col Aqua Zero LS jersey, so much so that we gave it an Editor's Choice Award. The fit and comfort are on point, and its thermal properties were great. The water repellence does wash out quickly, so you'd best grab a bottle or can of DWR while you're still on Amazon.

Vittoria Corsa G2.0 Tubeless Tire 25c: was $87.99, now $44.00 at Backcountry
Vittoria's Corsa range has long impressed us with its combination of cornering grip, low rolling resistance and good puncture resistance. Finding decent tire deals can be tricky as they're often only for the narrowest options, so the 50% off this 25c tire, which is also tubeless, is well worth grabbing. If width and tubeless isn't your bag, check out all Backcountry's Vittoria deals.
Continental Grand Prix 5000 tires: was $87.95, now from $46.90 at Competitive Cyclist
If there's one product universally loved at Cycling Weekly then it's Continental's GP 5000 tires - and with good reason. They offer reliable puncture protection yet are still supple enough to provide great ride quality, while the compound is both grippy and fast rolling. In essence, it's all you want from a tire - and with more than 50% off it's the ideal time to stock up. If you need more convincing you can read a review in our guide to the best road bike tires. Unlike the Vittorias above these are still available in a range of widths, including 32mm for the all-road riders out there.
Shimano Ultegra PD-R8000 Pedals: was $199.99, now $129 at Amazon
Shimano Ultegra is the go-to for many amateur racers and performance-oriented cyclists. With an extremely high build quality, albeit slightly heavier than the range-topping Dura-Ace components, Ultegra delivers extremely good performance for the price. For this, we gave these pedals a full five stars in our review.
Silca Ultimate Tubeless Sealant: was from $18.00, now from $14.40 at Backcountry
When we subjected six tubeless sealants to our screwdriver puncture test we found that Silca sealant took the crown. We were not only impressed by its ability to deal with punctures just over 6mm, and seal them soundly, but were also taken with the how they did it. According to the brand, it uses recycled carbon fibre and an environmentally safe foaming suspension liquid in order to do so. There's around 20% off all three size bottles to choose from, with 8oz for $14.40, 16oz for $19.20 and the 32oz for $30.40..
Muc Off No Puncture Hassle: was $39.99, now from $28.98 at Amazon
Sealing holes up to 6mm, Muc Off's tubeless sealant really impressed us and was the runner-up in our tubeless sealant screwdriver test, where we put six popular brands to the test with the higher pressures of road tires. It's rated for low temperatures and lasts up to six months. We called it an affordable option at full price and so on this great discount, it certainly comes highly recommended.

Jump to: UK - Bikes deals
Specialized Crux Expert: was $6,200, now $4,999.99 at Specialized
The Crux is a super light gravel bike that's versatile enough to work for cross racing and on the road too. We reviewed the Pro model and loved the combination of a light and stiff frameset - and the SRAM Rival AXS equipped Expert while a little heavier (8kg) should still deliver an equally fun ride. It's an expensive option, so this significant Christmas discount makes it far more palatable. Currently still available in a wide range of sizes.

At full price this jacket is certainly expensive, indicative of the quality of fabrics and detail. It uses a three-layer mid-weight Gore-Tex material for the body and sleeves, with a stretchy Gore-Tex in the shoulders and wrists - the result is protection against the wind, rain and cool without restricting movement on the bike. With 44% off however it becomes far more affordable. Available in black and currently across a full range of sizes.
3. Trek Domane AL2 Disc Road bike: was £1,050.00, now £739.00 at Evans Cycles

The Trek Domane AL2 is a brilliant option for those looking for quality and versatility, without going crazy on budget. The Domane AL2 is fitted with 8-speed Shimano shifting and disc brakes.
4. Garmin Edge 1040 GPS Cycle Computer: was £519.99, now £397.00 at Wiggle
We were very impressed with the solar-powered version of the Edge 1040 when we tested it, although the price tag was a bit eye-watering. Without the solar technology and with a hefty 24% discount, Garmin's flagship computer offers all you could want in terms of data, mapping and training help at a fantastic price.

6. Specialized S-Works Prevail 3 helmet: was £250, now from £160 at Sigma Sports

7. 100% S3 sunglasses: were £179.99, now £73.99 at Freewheel
Over £100 off a premium pair of cycling glasses is quite the deal - and the S3's are exactly that. The large lens shape delivers protection without appearing too large on the face - and its interchangeable so you pick up a spare lens or two for differing riding conditions. We love the 'alternative fit' nose pad too so you can really dial in the comfort.
8. Garmin Fenix 7S Solar: was £689.99, now £500.80 at Amazon
The Fenix 7S Solar packs all the TOPO maps, Garmin Pay and health tracking features ubiquitous across Garmin's premium smartwatch models. I particularly like the Fenix as it's a little more sophisticated than the super sporty Forerunner series, as well as the more ruggedized Epix. You can check out our full review of the Garmin Fenix 7S Solar here.
9. Fizik Tempo R5 overcurve road shoes: were £159.99, now £79.99 at Wiggle
Not everybody wants a super stiff carbon sole. Neither does everyone want to pay a small fortune for their road shoes. I've always felt Fizik's R5 strike a nice balance - they have the looks of premium shoe, and feature a Boa dial, but have a far more forgiving composite sole. This deal has them with 50% off and still available in a range of colors and sizes.

Christmas tech deals UK

With this in mind, I've featured impressive discounts on cycling computers, smartwatches, power meters and accessories such as headphones and heart rate monitors.
Garmin Epix 2: was £580.00, now £457.00 at Amazon
The Epix 2 briefly dropped to £400.00 in May 2022 - a truly mega deal that has never yet been repeated. The Epix is truly tech-packed and boasts the brightest and easiest to read screen of all Garmin's premium models. You can check out our full Garmin Epix 2 review here.

Garmin Forerunner 55 GPS: was £179.99, now £139.99 at Decathlon
It's not a cycling watch per se, but a great everyday smartwatch allrounder. I think it's ideal for anyone undertaking extra sports curriculum alongside riding, especially if you want to track data. You can still monitor all your cycling stats (other than power) as well as a whole host of other sports, as well as analysing overall health and sleep stats, it'll even give you a fish forecast if your logged on via Connect IQ.
This isn't the cheapest price it's ever been, but the lowest I've seen in the current market at 23% off.

Wahoo Elemnt Bolt V2: was £249.99, now £224.99 at Sigma Sports
You can get a cheaper bike computer than the latest Elemnt Bolt. But in terms of the features you get for the price - particularly regarding the navigation - there is little that comes close. I've used it for my longest gravel ride and on a trans-Alpine epic and it never skipped a beat. Read our full Wahoo Elemnt Bolt V2 review here.

Wahoo Elemnt Roam GPS bike computer: was £219.99, now £179.00 at Evans Cycles
There's a decent saving on the Wahoo Elemnt Roam GPS bike computer. We rated this almost as much as the Garmin Edge 830, finding its route planning intuitive and overall packaged really nicely. At the time it was a cheaper option, and it showed in the the re-route software and the battery life. Faulty mounts were an issue at the time, but hopefully that's since been resolved.
Beats Fit Pro wireless: was £219.99, now £129.00 at Amazon
I've not tested this exact pair, but many of the team here at Cycling Weekly have purchased over-ear headphones from the same brand due to the excellent fit and sound quality. Wireless and active noise cancelling, the Fit Pro ear buds are designed to lock in your ear to prevent them dropping out. Also sweat resistant, making them a ideal for a hot indoor workout companion. Wahoo Kickr Snap turbo trainer: was £429.99, now £249.00 at Sigma Sports
While direct drive trainers certainly have their merits, the affordability and folding design of wheel-on trainers makes them a better bet for some. In our our guide to the best turbo trainers we rated Wahoo's Kickr Snap as the best non-direct drive machine on the market. It's compatible with training apps such as Zwift, has up 1,500 watts of resistance and can replicate gradients of up to 12%.
Tacx Neo 2 smart trainer: was £1,119.99, now £649.99 at Wiggle

You can check our guide to the best smart trainers for more detailed reviews. Currently with 46% off!
Tacx Neo Bike Smart: was £2,299.99, now £2,098.00 at Tredz
Okay, so a £200 discount isn't so great deal when the spend is over two grand. But with Tacx having recently released its new Tacx Neo Bike Plus, which comes in at a staggering £3,499.99 – you could see this as a £1,600 saving, while stocks last. The two models are very similar with the main differences being more crank length options, redesigned shifters and a slimmer seatpost – all good improvements, but for most people the older model will be the better deal.

dhb Aeron Lab Carbon Road Shoe: was £180.00, now £30.00 at Wiggle
There's now an eye popping 83% off this pair of carbon road shoes from dhb - however sizing is limited. If you're thinking could this be too good to be true? Well perhaps, or perhaps not. We've reviewed dhb's cheaper lace-up carbon shoe and been highly impressed. Reviews on the website are a little mixed. Some customers have had had issues with the nuts for the cleat bolts, but others have been fine. For £30, its worth a punt surely.
Specialized Torch 3.0 road shoes: were £230, now £115 at Sigma Sports
When it comes to high-quality performance road shod the Torch 3.0 ticks the boxes - two Boa dials for superior fit, comfort and foot retention, a stiff carbon sole for better power transfer and a breathable mesh upper to stop your feet from overheating. An icon of the sporting sunglasses world, the Jawbreaker continues to be relevant thanks to the large lens and wide field of vision. Lazer Compact DLX MIPS helmet: was £45.00, now £30.00 at Halfords
While not specifically a road helmet, this is probably the most accessible price point I've seen a MIPS helmet at. Designed for leisure cycling, the MIPS system, Multi-directional Impact Protection System, is teamed with a rear integrated light, so a good option for commuters. The down side is that it's one size only, so might not be the best fit for smaller heads. The original RRP was a great price and now there's an additional £15 off.
Women's clothing

Christmas bike deals UK
Typically Christmas bike deals can be a little unpredictable. If retailers are sat on plenty of stock of a certain bike or brand then it should translate to some genuine bargains. Equally, if outgoing models have recently been replaced then you can likely pick up 2022 or even 2023 bikes with a greatly reduced price tag. But be warned, this isn't always the case.
In this section, I've included the best deals I've found, including road and gravel bikes, kids' bikes and electric bikes.

Frequently asked questions
When do bike deals appear?
While there are bike deals to be found all year round, it's the traditional sales that tend to throw up the best choice and values - this means post-Christmas sales, Boxing Day sales, January Sales as well significant holidays, especially in the USA where you'll find plenty of deals on President's Day, Memorial Day and Independence Day.
Do bikes go on sale for Christmas?
Yes, you can expect to find deals on road, gravel and hybrid bikes, as well as MTBs and kids' bikes, too. The level of discount will vary greatly and depends on the model, the age of the model and the stock levels. For example, bikes that have recently received an update are likely candidates for price reduction in the sale - for road bikes, think the Specialized Tarmac SL7 range, now superseded by the recently released SL8. Are Christmas deals worth it?
It's only a deal if you need the item in the first place. Simply replacing items you already have just because they're reduced doesn't make sense for a number of reasons.
However, Christmas can be a great time to replenish your cycling wardrobe for example. It's wise to think ahead and grab jerseys and shorts for the summer. Equally, it makes sense to buy items you know you'll use throughout the year while they are discounted, such as tires, cleats and bike cleaning products.
As a general rule, be guided by your need for the product rather than the level of discount. After all 20% off an item you really need is far better than 50% off something you can do without.

But his favourite rides are multiday bikepacking trips, with all the huge amount of cycling tech and long days spent exploring new roads and trails - as well as histories and cultures. Most recently, he’s spent two weeks riding from Budapest into the mountains of Slovakia.
